February 22nd meeting
The February 22nd meeting which was held at the home of Karen and Mike Ioffredo. For the first time, a meeting enabled distant members to attend via teleconferencing. For more information, see:
Cancelled March 21st meeting
The March 21st meeting was cancelled due to the COVOID-19 pandemic and stay-at-home restrictions put in place by the governors of Maryland and Virginia. It was rescheduled for April 18th as a teleconferencing meeting.
April 18th meeting
The April 18th meeting was held via teleconferencing. It included a program by Linda Dobbie and Michelle Root on the new AKC Temperament and Farm Dog certifications. For more information, see:

July 18th PVSSC Specialty
Overcoming the plague (COVOID-19) and extreme heat, the PVSSC held our annual Specialty–a heroic feat since shows in 2016 and 2018 were cancelled due to weather conditions. This was a package show and only Standard Schnauzers were shown. However, we had a large, competitive entry. Best of Breed came out of the Veterans class: the 7 year old male, GCHB HALCYON’S BE THE CHANGE YOU WISH TO SEE CGC. Best of Opposite Sex was the comparatively younger lady, 2-year old GCH BLUE LINE’S BLUE DEVIL. For complete results, see:

October 11th Barn Hunt
Despite a very rainy day, the Oct 11th Barn Hunt was a success with a total of 155 runs, 60 of which were standard schnauzers. Ben and Stephanie Blank’s dogs had fun as seen in these photos by Lisa Klepp:

Oct 31-Nov 1 FastCAT
Despite a deluge, the FastCAT event was held with a total of 361 runs over two days. This was not a PVSSC event but about 10 Standard Schnauzers did enter. For more information, see information from the WireTap:
